As many of you know I use a daystate mk4, well went out shooting on Saturday morning, got set up to check zero, first shot ok next shot nothing, gun wouldn't fire, I checked all I could where I was and all seemed ok, I had 200 bar in the gun, I charged it with electricity last week so that shouldn't have been a problem, so decided to go home and take a look, couldn't find anything wrong so decided to put it on charge overnight again and half way through charging went and had a look and it fired a couple of shots straight off so I thought everything was ok.
Well I checked it out Sunday morning and nothing gun won't fire at all now, I reset it to factory resets but still nothing so I think its dead
Phoned daystate this morning and they told me to take it to my nearest daystate dealer to see if they could help but to no avail, its got to go back to daystate to see what's wrong with it.
Hopefully it won't be too much wrong, probably need a service while its there and whatever needs doing can get fixed quickly.
So I'm gunless now till I get it back, think I need to get a backup gun sorted asap.

thats a total nightmare , i would defo consider a back-up gun , i hope you have better after sales service from daystate than i did !! i honestly got the impression they dont give a shit for there customers , at least with a rifle like a rapid you can do most things yourself.....good luck on the repair anyway tho atb

Hope it does get sorted ASAP chaps, i took in into the local gunshop on Monday and they were sending it off that morning, so hopefully its a quick fix and I get it returned sometime next week, fingers crossed.

bad luck bud, always have a back up gun there is so many things that can happen and spoil your day so a reserve gun is a must..

Well I phoned daystate again yesterday and was told by the lady that the gun is being looked at by their engineer, she can't tell me what's wrong with it until she hears back from said engineer, now then unless the engineer has gone on holidays for a few days its the very same story she told me last Friday
They have had my gun now since the 2nd of august and they may be very very busy, but I prefer they told me they haven't had a chance to look at it yet than say exactly the same story the twice I have phoned them.
Never mind looks like another week or three waiting for my gun to be fixed, in the mean time I went to llanelli in South Wales this morning and have got myself something else to have a play with till I get it back, so hopefully I'm out tomorrow morning to see if I can bag me some vermin.

my own mk4is went tits up just like that mate,,,,i was faced with a rather large bill so sold it on,,,the new r10 should cover it while its poorly,fingers crossed

Hopefully Daystate will get there act together and sort it out sooner rather than later, i understand your annoyance when you hear the same thing twice on the phone, i've been there

Well had the phone call from the gunshop on Tuesday that my gun was back, so left work a little early and picked it up, everything looked good at the shop so paid the bill and returned home, got the scope put back on and zeroed it in the garden, all is ok so far gun is running at 11.6 with daystate heavies and 11.2 with daystate Li, so got 2 guns to play with on Saturday, weather permitting

What was wrong with the battery? i thought they were Lithium-ion?

I have read somewhere that the batteries may need changing after 3 years or so, can't wait to get out with it tomorrow.
